Whether you’re looking for meaningful moments, family fun, or ways to give back, we’ve got you covered.

Here are 10 events you won’t want to miss this month:

1. 📚 Celebrate National Library Week (April 6–12)

Where: All branches of the Putnam County Library District
Why Go: A week of programming, storytimes, and discovery awaits. Come see what your local library has to offer and support literacy in our community!

2. 🎨 Carmel High School’s 41st Annual Art Show (April 7–8)

Where: Carmel High School
Why Go: Celebrate the creativity of our youth with hundreds of stunning pieces on display. Let’s encourage our young artists and show them their work matters.

3. ✝️ “Sowing the Seeds of God’s Love” – Blessed is She Gathering (April 12)

Where: St. James the Apostle Church
When: 10:30 AM–12:00 PM
Why Go: A peaceful, welcoming morning focused on community and faith. All are welcome to join this beautiful reflection and fellowship.

4. 📝 Lake Writers Coffeehouse Reading (April 27)

Where: Arts on the Lake, Lake Carmel
When: 2:00 PM
Why Go: Local voices, original stories, and warm company. Sip coffee, meet creatives, and enjoy some heartfelt literary talent.

5. 🆔 DMV REAL ID Outreach Day (April 26)

Where: Putnam County DMV Office
Why Go: Get help with your REAL ID documents before the deadline hits! A practical service brought to you by the county to make life easier.

6. 🐣 Meet The Easter Bunny (April 13)

Where: Carmel Creamery, Lake Carmel
When: 1:00-4:00 PM
Why Go: JOIN ME! A festive, family-friendly event complete with a visit from the Easter Bunny. Great ice cream and great memories for the little ones, supporting a local business!

7. 🎶 Lakeside A Cappella Chorus Open Rehearsals (Biweekly Wednesdays)

Where: Arts on the Lake
When: Every other Wednesday, 6:30–8:30 PM
Why Go: Love to sing? Come try out harmonizing with this friendly local group—no pressure, just joy.

8. 🧩Autism Awareness Walk (April 26)

Why Go: JOIN ME! As a former chairman of Autism Awareness walks, these events mean so much tot he community and is a good opportunity to remind all of our neighbors, no matter who they are, that we support them!

9. 🐟 Knights of Columbus Fish Fry Fridays (April 11)

Where: Carmel Hamlet Knights of Columbus
Why Go: Delicious fish fry dinners served with community warmth. Online ordering available — treat yourself and support a great cause.

10. 🗣️ Lake Carmel Advisory Board Meeting (April 14)

Where: Town of Kent
When: 7:00–9:00 PM
Why Go: Stay informed and engaged in your neighborhood. Your voice matters, and your input shapes the future of Lake Carmel.
