Advocating for a Safer Carmel School District
Investing in Adults with Special Needs is a Smart Investment
Over the several months, going back to February, I have proudly advocated directly to the Putnam County Legislature, the need to invest in our resident adults with Special Needs.
It is a smart investment, and when the chance came to increase funding, I am glad this legislature reversed the misguided decision to cut it in the first place.
But more is needed.

A Final Note
20 Years ago, Putnam County was the 3rd Fastest Growing County in New York. Now?
It’s Dying. Population in every age demographic under 65+ since 2010 is in STEEP decline.

Young families aren’t coming here, and our seniors who built this county now can’t afford to stay.
All while the county sits on $90,000,000 in an unassigned fund balance account in its continued “Tax and Hoard” behavior.
But it doesn’t have to be this way…

Until next time,

People, Not Politics
